On Sunday July 6, I had the privilege of preaching again at Grace Bible Church in St. Clair, MI. My text was a favorite prayer of mine from Colossians 1:9-14. This was a passage of Scripture that I memorized early in my Christian walk and it has always meant a lot to me. I have prayed this passage for the Christians that I know for years. If I know you, I have probably prayed these words for you hundreds of times (boy are you in trouble!)
There are really only two major points to the prayer and then some fruit that comes from these points.
First, that we would be filled with the knowledge of God’s will and as a result we would live according to that knowledge.
Second, that we would be empowered by God to persevere in the faith and endure our trials with joy because of what God has done in our lives through His power.
Armed with these things we are ready to show the world what faith really is and does.
Listen to the sermon and remember, I am praying these things for you!
